Stella is the main deuteragonist in Fractures, from season 2 onwards.

Stella, an enchantress skilled in arcane magic, is the last of her coven after the witches were wiped out. She joined the Frostbourne to help end the Undead War; with her companion Rain, and the Netherbane's Kane and Ciara, she formed the Endstone Crusaders to fight in the Nether War.

She is voiced by Eileen Montgomery.

Design

Stella wears a black, knee-length dress and socks, and long black gloves.

Up until Wishing Dead she wore a witch hat. In the events of Wishing Dead she gained long fangs and red horns. She is taller than Ciara but shorter than Ceris, Azura and Kane. In Wishing Dead she has red stripes running down on her cheeks.

Since Be Afraid, her dress become shorter and she began to have her hair tied into a ponytail.

History

Stella began as a mage in the Overworld Coven, a witches' guild within the Mystic Forest. She departed from her home to fight against the Undead with the Frostbourne and prove herself to the Ender Watchers. However, when she returned with Rain to the Coven Village in order to find a cure for the latter's curse, Stella was aghast to learn that a pyromancer skeleton had destroyed the Coven, leaving her the only known survivor.

Stella now embarks on a journey alongside Rain Wynter and the Netherbane, helping to stall the Nether Horde's conquest against the Overworld and find End Crystals hidden by Ceris.

Through her observant and optimistic nature, she is able to easily sympathize with others. A novice mage, she is naturally inquisitive and intrigued by the mystic arts and potion brewing, discovering ancient spells with her enchanted books and reading them; she can, however, be quite naive, and puts others first above her own safety, such as Zeganirn. Thanks to her inquisitiveness, she knows a bit of information about End Crystals, which can help the Endstone Crusaders in the future.

She is also shown to have a slight stubborn streak, as she tries to convince Ser Patrick and Rain Wynter - who is notoriously stubborn - to listen to her. She seems amused by such heated, meaningless arguments. She is never really angry for long, as she is always seen in a bright, cheery mood, even if someone has hurt her emotionally.

Stella is profound in magic, being able to cast an array of spells, often drawn from the book she wields. She is skilled with close combat, as demonstrated against Blackbone in Goodbye, and can cast Portals to the Nether and End (albeit incomplete). Her magical potential is such that she may one day be a threat to all dimensions.

When wielding the power of an End Crystal she gained the following powers as she used it, overpowering and killing a warden in a duel of magic, though the strain left her unconscious:

• Self-levitation
• Mastery of Arcane Beam

In addition to this, her half-Enderkin side also gifted her greater speed, strength and durability compared to normal humans, originally on a lesser scale. After her transformation into a Netherkin in Wishing Dead, she has gained faster reflexes, more strength and the ability to utilize fire in her attacks, similar to Abigail Crysteffor. She can also now hold her Arcane Blades and use Telekinesis offensively as seen in Falling.

Rainimator mentioned on the Discord that despite her perks of being a Netherkin/Enderkin, Stella is weakest in close range combat. Furthermore, these traits combined enabled her to overcome Nether corruption in a way Abigail could not.

Trivia

• She is voiced by EileMonty.
  • Stella, Ciara, Hilda and Lyria Wintona are currently the only voiced females characters who are not voiced by Amelia Mader and the only females characters not to have a song sung by her voice actor.
    • EileMonty has sung in an episode before, singing "Merry Christmas!" in A Christmas Special. Due to the length however, this does not count.
• She was originally created as a mute as a price for learning to read the runes in her magic books, but this was scrapped.
• Stella is the female character with the most appearances in the episodes, with eleven appearances in total.
• Stella was fourth female character introduced in the series preceded by Abigail Crysteffor, Azura and Ceris.
• Stella is third character with unnatural hair color in the series preceded by Azura and Ceris.
• Stella's eyes used to change color depending on mood and the danger levels in her area. For example, they flashed red and pink upon encountering Infernius.
  • Stella's eye color also turns white when she uses her Arcane Blade, Beams skill and telekinesis.
• The name Stella means "star", which may be a reference to her debut with a Nether Star in the Fractures Trailer.
• Stella holds the record for the most amount of spells utilized with a total of thirteen.
• She is confirmed to have an ender blood, hence making her half Enderkin and the heir to the Ender Watchers (giving her the iconic title "Heir of the Ender Watchers").
  • This is also explains why she is able to make End Portals at will, teleport, and hold a great proficiency in Arcane Spells.
  • She is also the second character who is Enderkin.
• Stella so far has the most current faction alignments out of all the characters, belonging to the Coven, the Frostbourne, Ender Watchers and the Endstone Crusaders.
• Rain Wynter and Stella have both garnered the most consecutive appearances, with a total of five.
  • However, Rain has achieved this twice, albeit with four appearances.
  • Abigail has also achieved this, with four appearances. Her appearance in Cold as Ice, however, was a cameo as a dead body.
• Stella is the second character to be turned into a Netherkin, being preceded by Abigail Crysteffor
  • Coincidentally, both girls are love interests of Rain Wynter.
  • Unlike Abigail, her Netherkin form was a lot more feral in regards to attacks and general behavior, whilst Abigail's was met with an heir of dignity.
  • Also unlike Abigail, she was mostly cured, but still retains her horns and fangs since these were physical changes.
• Stella is the first hybrid character in the series, being a Human/Enderkin, later turning into a Netherkin/Enderkin.
  • She is also the second Netherkin to be introduced, the fourth Undead Human and the second Undead Female in the series.
  • She was confirmed to have been killed by Djinn's Knives and brought back through the Demon Curse.
  • Stella precedes Ciara as the first Undead female, however is in turn preceded by Abigail Crysteffor.
