The Floating Isles are a large group of floating islands above the Mystic Forest. In "Wings of Salvation", Azura singlehandedly destroys an outpost of Wither Angels there. Only those capable of flight can reach the Floating Isles safely, as a result the region are currently uninhabited.

The Floating Isles is shown to be filled with an array of inexplicably floating islands, to which a Nether outpost was built on. There are many plants and trees, along with several waterfalls, this is more than likely a forest biome.
Among many isles one houses a Nether outpost, which the Wither Angels, Wither Skeletons, and Ghasts were stationed. The outpost however have since been destroyed by Azura.
The Floating Isles is located at the south of the Mystic Forest, being bordered by the Barren Frontier in all other sides.
History[]
The area first appeared in Wings of Salvation, where Lady Azura went to take out members of the Nether Horde before they could launch an attack against the Frostbourne. She successfully killed the Ghasts and Wither Skeletons before she is attacked by several Wither Angels. She is able to defeat them all before ending up in the Nether. After engaging members of the Nether Horde whilst there, Azura returns through the Isles with a near dead Rain in her arms on her way back to the castle. Despite Azura's efforts, the Horde still went on to invade the overworld through the Far Plains, however the Floating Isles would remain untouched throughout the war, despite the Horde conquering the Mystic Forest to the North.
